A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Ladder of the Aesir is a short proof-of-concept game done on the course Game Worlds at the IT university in Copenhagen. The focus was more on building a compelling setting for a game rather than actual game play.

Introen er fantastisk, det visuelle ser generelt godt ud, historien er rimmelig god, lydeffekterne er okay, og det er ikke rigtigt noget gameplay. Så en lidt blandet oplevelse. Jeg kunne godt se et puzzle-, adventure- eller kamp/skyde- spil i dette univers. Men uanset hvad så ville der være muligheder for at lave et interessant spil i dette univers. 

Jeg vil dog sige, at det for mig er lidt mærkeligt at adskille spilverden fra gameplay'et,  da de to ting generelt smelte sammen til enhed i gode spiloplevelser. Men uanset hvad så havde jeg overordnet en god oplevelse af at prøve jeres lille spil.

Og jo du har ret i at der fuldstændig mangler et egentligt gamneplay/spil, men hele øvelsen var egentligt bare at lave et level som  en øvelse, så det var aldrig meningen at der skulle laves et egentligt spil. Om noget så kunne man måske videreudvikle på selve historien, men jeg tvivler på at det kommer til at blive lavet mere på det....

I know it says in the description that the focus of this was more on the game world than on the gameplay but honestly everything works so well together as it is right now! I think I might have hit a dead end or taken a wrong turn as I got lost but it was truly a beautiful experience climbing to the top!!
